Nanites

The shafodrag's organism is a complex system that allows them to perform actions that are impossible for organisms that have evolved naturally. A colony of tiny robots, called nanites, plays a significant role in this system.

The shafodrag's bodies contain colonies of nanites throughout their lives. Due to their microscopic size, they can manipulate any substance at the atomic level, which provides a wide variety of possibilities. Each colony, due to the presence in the bodies of a huge number of nanites capable of transmitting information to each other, is a node of the System, either operating autonomously or connected to a global network. Due to high loads and continuous use, the service life of a single nanite usually does not exceed a year, after which it is processed.

These colonies exist and are managed by alpha-nanites - replication units, colony command centers, and information repositories. Alpha nanites contain control matrices - blueprints of changes that can be applied to material objects. An installation to prevent uncontrolled colony reproduction is embedded in the alpha nanite software core - the number of nanites depends on body volume.

Nanites are constantly used by shafodrags in everyday life: in the transmission and processing of information both among themselves and, bypassing the periphery, with electronic devices in the access zone, in the construction and modification of architectural structures, in the creation and restoration of objects, as a means of access to the System, in tracking and developing body parameters. They are also involved in the processes of energy exchange of the body, in the digestive system, in the process of orientation in space and not only.

Nanites receive energy during the decomposition of matter into its constituent atoms. The excess energy is transferred to the body of the colony's host. Nanites themselves have a relatively small energy storage, so they can be used outside the body for some time if an energy channel is not created.

Like many electronic devices, nanites are susceptible to the influence of any of the mystical energies: with a constant excess of energy concentration in the body, nanites fail, accompanied by their unpredictable and uncontrollable behavior.

The following instructions are sewn into the nanite program code by default:

• enhancement of the wearer's physical performance
• long-term maintenance of peak body shape
• acceleration of regeneration in case of injury
• acceleration of the response signal from the brain to the muscles, resulting in an increase in reaction speed
• improved abilities learning information and skills, especially those related to physical exercises
• System signal support and signal transmission from one Node to another

Further, during life, settings are reconfigured with the help of alpha nanites during the acquisition of shafodrag or new skills from the System database, or the creation of new ones.
