The history of the shafodrags is rich in events, both positive and negative. However, the time of the beginning of the formation of the species was called the Dark Age.

Barely reaching their tenth decade, they were almost exterminated. And the reason for this was the necrols, who destroyed 9/10 of the shafodrag representatives on the planet and 3 of the 7 dreadnoughts with cryocapsules with 10 000 each. The survivors mutated and tried to eliminate the consequences, and almost successfully.

But even that's not so scary. The dead shafodrags were revived as undead, and since then, the Saar'miris have not known peace for many years. The surviving members of the species fought desperately for their right to exist, but the numerical advantage towards the undead significantly cut off both the chances and the hope of salvation. In the first 5 years since the disaster began, all small settlements without reliable protection were exterminated. There were only 6 large bastions left all over the planet, where the shafodrags successfully held the defense.

Time passed. The Saar'miris dealt with the remnants of the undead with varying success, were able to establish stable communication between the bastions and slowly begin to recover. But a new disaster has arisen in one of the bastions. One of the shafodrags, as a result of the manifestation of one of the "gifts" of the necroles, was transformed into an archlich. Due to the surprise factor and the huge wave of undead summoned by archlich, the bastion fell in less than a day.

The situation was terrible. A meeting was held as soon as possible, during which, for lack of alternatives, it was decided to use a massive strike with intercontinental warheads. The threat was too strong, and the price of a mistake was the survival of the species.

The bastion with the archlich was erased, and the territories surrounding it were cleared of the undead. But such methods of struggle had too high a price. Therefore, it was decided to create a special unit.

Its name is Hashanmaar, or Deathbanes. Their goal is to find and eliminate undead of all stripes, as well as to develop ways to detect and counteract any necrotic creatures.

Within six months of its establishment, they had successfully approved procedures for searching for and tracking creatures containing necroprana, tested the theory in practice, and disseminated information to other bastions. This allowed the shafodrags to break out of stagnation and finally begin to develop, despite the looming threat of the undead.

Over the years, it has been recorded that once every thousand years, a soul containing a necroprana is reborn, and at the moment of death of a body with such a soul, the body is transformed into an archlich. During the 10,000 years of the shafodrags' existence, 6 archliches were nipped in the bud in a timely manner, but up to this point, 3 catastrophes related to them had occurred.

However, who knows what the appearance of a new archlich will bring?
